Otherwise,
take the M4 to junction 11 (A33). Follow the A33 signs towards Reading. This
takes you through an industrial estate, past the Hilton Hotel on your right.
You then become what seems to be the Reading inner ring road. Past a fire
station on the left. This all seems a long way and you begin to despair. But…
Keep
an eye out for signs to Caversham and Henley (A4155). This is the road you
need; take it.
Eventually,
turn left off the A4155 along the B481 (Peppard Road), signed to Sonning Common
and Peppard.
Head
north along Peppard Road. You pass Wetherby Close on your left; take the next
right, Kiln Road. Continue along Kiln Road and out into the country. You
eventually enter Binfield Heath.
You pass Gravel Road on your right and then Thanksgiving Lane on your right.
Just past that, you turn left into the ground. There are wooden gates and a
sign that says:
“PRIVATE:
No public right of way.”
Until
you actually go through the gates it is not obvious that it is a cricket club.

you somewhere near the ground
After the game we adjourn to The Crown
(RG4 9QN). Turn right out of the ground.
Then turn left down Gravel Road. To the end and turn right. Now follow this
road some way. The Crown will appear on your right.
